Tempered glass is made by heating ordinary flat glass to near the softening point (about 630 ℃) in a physical tempering furnace, and then rapidly and uniformly cooling (air quenching) it. This process forms a compressive stress layer on the surface of the glass and a tensile stress layer inside, significantly improving its mechanical strength and thermal stability. (Note: Tempered glass is divided into two types: physical tempered glass and chemical tempered glass. Our company produces physical tempered glass, and the text mentioned in this article is based on the category of physical tempered glass.)

Homogenized glass is a secondary heat treatment of tempered glass, commonly referred to as detonation or homogenization treatment. Heat the tempered glass to 290 ℃± 10 ℃ and hold for 2 hours to promote the premature expansion of nickel sulfide impurities and screen out potential self destructing glass.

The outstanding characteristics of tempered glass：

?High strength: The bending strength is 3-5 times that of ordinary glass, and the impact resistance is stronger.

?Safety: When broken, it forms small particles without sharp edges (honeycomb shaped blunt angle fragments), reducing harm to the human body.

?Thermal stability: The ability to withstand temperature changes is 2-3 times that of ordinary glass (able to withstand a temperature difference of about 200 ℃).

? Non machinable: After tempering, it cannot be cut or drilled, and the size needs to be customized in advance

?Eliminate the risk of self explosion: Reduce the probability of self explosion to below 0.01% through homogenization treatment.

?Retain tempered glass characteristics: strength, safety, etc. are consistent with tempered glass.
